MISSION



The Space Mechanics and Control Division of INPE - DMC - has four basic objectives, independing of programs or projects in wich it acts to each moment 
  • Activities Areas:
    • Orbit & Atitude Control (GCAO),
    • Structure & Mechanism Projects (GPRM),
    • Propelents & Propulsion (GPRO),
    • Orbital Dynâmics (GDNO), and
    • Thermal Control (GTER).
  • Support, software and hardware devices development and design, and/or managing projects or institutional programs of all INPE and specialy for Space Technology Engineering  (ETE).
  • By keeping a compatible academic activity with INPE's pos-graduate course, in Engineering and Space Technology (Master and Doctor Level), orientation of teses, act of contract of scholarship holders, incentive to the publication of the results of its researchers and/or workers, search for not institutional resources suplemental activities of education and research, and the participation and promotion of scientific events of the area;
  • Developing activities of Research & Development in its areas of ability as form of attainment of knowledge that allow to the improvement of the described services and the creation of new chances of work in the academic scope  the described before;
  • To give to laboratorial and/or computational support to the other groups or areas of the INPE that is compatible with its human resources and of infrastructure.
Each area of the DMC possesss a research and development project, aiming at future applications in future brazilian satellites or those that Brazil participates by international agreements. Other projects are made in support or leadership for other divisions of the INPE, or for other institutions.
